THE TILLER BACK IN PRODUCTION.
By our staff reporter Lirpa Loof.
A major motor manufacturer, who prefers to remain anonymous, was so impressed by the SD Freighter that the Company has purchased the rights to the S&D patents, and has gone into production of a unique new car.
The four door family saloon is powered by a 500 cc engine and the only controls are two tillers situated to the left and right of the driver. Top speed is 80 m.p.h. and the car achieves an unbelievable 200 miles per litre of petrol.

Production is now in full swing ready for the world-wide launch on 1st April. The car will be on sale to the public until noon on that day.
A test drive revealed a vehicle fully competitive with its more conventional rivals. Once more the famous SD roundel will soon be seen on the world's roads.
WINTER 2009/10
I think all readers will have experienced snow this winter. Here in Yorkshire it started before Christmas and lasted until the middle of January. The Isle of Wight has unusually heavy snow falls which reminded Steve Jones of his days living in the London Borough of Hounslow, and he sent in this atmospheric photo of a gritter on one of the approach roads to the M3. Steve thinks that up to eight M & P registration NY Revopaks had their bodies removed and replaced by new gritting bodies. These vehicles kept Hounslow's roads free in icy and snowy conditions up until the late 1990's. This gave the vehicles a total working life in the Borough of around 25 years. Not bad going!
